My work
Use the links below to view web sites I have created and/or maintain. If you have any questions, please e-mail me.
While several of these web sites are political in nature, I do work on sites that aren't political in nature.
All of the web sites I work on run on Drupal. This is a Content Management System (CMS) that allows you to have a dynamic site without the site owner having to know html, css, or php. Updates to the site can easily be done in your web browser. There is even a WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get) similar to that of word processing software. This toolbar includes bold, underline, links, images, and more.
In addition to the sites below, this site (nu-look.net) also runs on Drupal.
The most popular layout amongst site owners is the classic three-column (two smaller sidebars with a main content area in the middle); however, other styles are available.
In addition to the sites listed below, I have worked with the following:
Linn County Democrats: Set up and customize their site using Drupal.
Missouri Impact: Upgraded their Drupal install, added features.
Bus Project: occasional site maintenance and troubleshooting
Full House Moms: Upgraded Drupal and CiviCRM installs, added features, troubleshooting.
Rex and the Beast: Created complicated theme design for site, set up sections of site, installed features, etc.
We Count 2006: helped with template creation, troubleshooting, set up of Content Management System. Was for a short-term project in 2006, and site is no longer available online.

Novick for U.S. Senate
http://www.novickforsenate.com/
PHP-based site using Drupal. Web site was installed and customized by me. I did the original web site updates, content addition, etc. until staff came onboard who could do it. All themes for the site were created by me based on graphics or design ideas supplied.
Included with the site install is a CRM, or Customer Relationship Management datatase.
Democratic Party of Oregon
Democratic Party of Oregon
http://www.oregondemocrats.org
PHP-based site using Drupal. Theme was created by someone else; however, I converted it to work with Drupal 5.x. Also made changes to allow for a right-hand sidebar that is viewable by site admin, content editors, etc.
This site relies heavily on the Content Creation Kit (cck), Views, and Contemplate. The front page is a custom template using block regions. Each of the areas in the main area (Welcome, Spotlight, News, and Datebook) are a block, which enables the updating of information without harming the layout/look of the front page. The block only holds the inner content - the headers, layout, etc. are all controlled by a template file.
In addition to their main site, I also helped create a support site, an easy to clone base site for the state's county parties, and an internal site using organic groups.
